MTL-algebras arising from partially ordered groups

چکیده

After dropping the implication-like operation and reversing the order, an MTL-algebra becomes a partially ordered structure (L;≤,⊕, 0, 1) based on the single addition-like operation ⊕. Furthermore, ⊕ may be restricted to a partial, but cancellative addition + without loss of information. We deal in this paper with the case that the resulting partial algebra (L;≤,+, 0, 1) is embeddable into the positive cone of a partially ordered group. It turns out that most of the examples of MTL-algebras known at present can be represented in this way. So the systematization of a considerable class of MTLalgebras is achieved, and the methods of their construction are brought onto a common line.

Archimedean classes in integral commutative residuated chains

The problem of characterization of the structure of MTL-algebras, which form an equivalent algebraic semantics for Monoidal T-norm Based Logic (see [9]) in the sense of Blok and Pigozzi (see [3]), is still far from being solved. Since MTL-algebras are in fact subdirect products of chains, it suffices to investigate only the structure of MTL-chains if we want to characterize the structure of MTL...

Generalized continuous and left-continuous t-norms arising from algebraic semantics for fuzzy logics

This paper focuses on the issue of how generalizations of continuous and leftcontinuous t-norms over linearly ordered sets should be from a logical point of view. Taking into account recent results in the scope of algebraic semantics for fuzzy logics over chains with a monoidal residuated operation, we advocate linearly ordered BL-algebras and MTL-algebras as adequate generalizations of continu...

A classification of hull operators in archimedean lattice-ordered groups with unit

The category, or class of algebras, in the title is denoted by $bf W$. A hull operator (ho) in $bf W$ is a reflection in the category consisting of $bf W$ objects with only essential embeddings as morphisms. The proper class of all of these is $bf hoW$. The bounded monocoreflection in $bf W$ is denoted $B$. We classify the ho's by their interaction with $B$ as follows. A ``word'' is a function ...

On residuated lattices with universal quantifiers

We consider properties of residuated lattices with universal quantifier and show that, for a residuated lattice $X$, $(X, forall)$ is a residuated lattice with a quantifier if and only if there is an $m$-relatively complete substructure of $X$. We also show that, for a strong residuated lattice $X$, $bigcap {P_{lambda} ,|,P_{lambda} {rm is an} m{rm -filter} } = {1}$ and hence that any strong re...

Classes of Pseudo-BCK algebras -Part I

In this paper we study particular classes of pseudo-BCK algebras, bounded or not bounded, as pseudo-BCK(pP) algebras, pseudo-BCK(pP) lattices, pseudo-Hájek(pP) algebras and pseudo-Wajsberg algebras. We introduce new classes of pseudo-BCK(pP) lattices, we establish hierarchies and we give some examples. We work with left-defined algebras and we work with → and ; as primitive operations, not with...
